Regional & Provincial Offices:

CARO maintains a strong field presence in several provinces, with established offices in:

  1. Herat (Western Region)

    • Focus on education, health, and livestock support programs.

  2. Ghazni (Southeast Region)

    • Targeting ethnic minorities and supporting inclusive education initiatives.

  3. Khost (Southeast Region)

    • Home to several Community-Based Education (CBE) and nutrition programs.

  4. Paktika (Southeast Region)

    • Implementing emergency shelter, education, and health services.

  5. Logar (Central Region)

    • WASH, education, and advocacy activities for marginalized communities.

  6. Wardak (Central Region)

    • WASH, education, and advocacy activities for marginalized communities.

Former and Pilot Project Areas:

  • Nuristan: Peacebuilding and minority rights advocacy

  • Mazar-e-Sharif (Balkh Province): Livestock and home-based dairy pilot

  • Other remote and rural provinces as needed for specific projects
